Welcome to WARRIOR QUEST - Our dynamic and immersive training experience fuses classical warrior arts with modern stunt performance. This uniquely integrated system blends the fighting skills of the past with the action demands of today, forging students into authentic martial artists and cinematic action performers.

Warrior Quest pertains to many aspects of my life, one of those being my ongoing journey as a practitioner of Ninjutsu (Ninja arts) and Kenjutsu (swordsmanship). After teaching these crafts classically for many years, I decided I wanted to merge them with the creative world of film. In Japan this art would be known as Chanbara (Samurai Cinema). Just as ancient scrolls once preserved knowledge through generations, I began my quest to carry forward the essence of my martial tradition through motion pictures, not as imitation, but as transformation. My goal was never simply to make Chanbara films, but to use the principles of the Ninja and Samurai as a foundation to thrive on a new battlefield: the film industry.
Over the past three decades, I have worked as an actor, stuntman, fight choreographer, stunt coordinator, special effects supervisor, makeup artist, writer, producer, and director - applying my warrior skills without ever needing to use them violently. Warrior Quest is that evolution - the pursuit of preserving the spirit of the warrior through motion, performance, and artistry. It is not merely training; it is a path of transformation where ancient tradition meets modern action.
My duty as an instructor of the warrior arts has never wavered. I’ve always believed that “If a wealthy man dies hoarding his riches, then he lived poorly.” The meaning is clear - all that is not given is lost. - So, after more than fifty years practicing these arts, and decades of experience in film, I’ve built various companies that embody this vision - bridging tradition and innovation. I continue to train, to teach, and to share what I’ve learned with those who choose to walk this path beside me.

This foundation of the Warrior Quest program draws from the time-honored traditions of Japan’s Ninja and Samurai. Our Classical Arts focus on swordsmanship, unarmed combat, and a wide array of weapon systems. These techniques are taught not only as highly effective methods of real-world combat but also as stylized movements adapted for the art of Chanbara - the theatrical swordplay made famous by samurai cinema.

The Action Arts component prepares students for the high impact demands of modern stunt performance. This includes comprehensive training in fight choreography, breakfalls, ladder and stair falls, wirework, firearm handling, low falls, ejections, breakaways, obstacle work, and more. The curriculum is designed to encourage innovation and creativity, seamlessly blending practical stunt work with cinematic storytelling.

Where imagination meets craftsmanship, Cinematic Arts explores the behind-the-scenes artistry that brings action to life. Students train in practical effects, prop fabrication, creature design, and special makeup techniques. From creating realistic blood effects and breakaway props to sculpting prosthetic masks and building wire-guided missile rigs, each session blends creativity with technical precision.
We are located at: 4086 Youngfield Street, Wheatridge CO 80033. The facility is divided into four training zones; the Traditional Dojo, The Warehouse, the Creature Lab, and the FX Shop, each designed to reflect and enhance the unique demands of the expansive WARRIOR QUEST curriculum.

The first area is a traditional Japanese-style dojo, a focused, disciplined space where the ancient skills of the Ninja and Samurai are brought to life. This hall features weapon racks lined with swords, staves, spears, and halberds; archery targets for precision training; and tameshigiri (test-cutting) stands for swordsmanship drills using live blades. With an atmosphere that honors tradition, this space is where students refine their technique, focus their spirit, and deepen their connection to classical martial disciplines.

The second area is the industrial-style environment built to simulate the unpredictable realities of modern action performance. Equipped with 55-gallon drums, crates, ladders, pallets, and scaffolding, this space is where students train for dynamic action sequences. It’s a modular playground for developing real-world spatial awareness, movement innovation, and stunt integration, ideal for practicing falls, rolls, ejections, breakaways, and close-quarters combat choreography.

The Creature Lab is a creative workspace where imagination takes physical form through the art of makeup and fabrication. Equipped with multiple workstations, this specialized area allows artists to sculpt, mold, cast, and paint prosthetic creations ranging from subtle wound appliances to full-scale creature suits. Here, latex flesh, silicone skin, and synthetic materials are shaped into believable characters, limbs, and monstrous forms ready for the camera. Surrounded by tools of the trade, brushes, pigments, molds, and airbrush systems, students bring life to the inhuman, mastering the transformative craft that turns fantasy into cinematic reality.

The FX Shop is the workshop of innovation, where the science of illusion meets the art of storytelling. Outfitted with fabrication tools, 3D printers, and an array of materials, this space is dedicated to creating the physical elements that bring cinematic worlds to life. Here, students craft detailed props, fabricate breakaway weapons, design pneumatic blood rigs, and engineer weather and atmospheric effects. Miniature sets and models are meticulously built and aged for realism, while experimentation and problem-solving drive every project. Within the hum of machinery and scent of fresh paint, imagination is transformed into tangible movie magic.

Warrior Quest training sessions take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Sunday mornings from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM - offering 8 hours of instruction per week and approximately 34 to 36 hours per month. Our high-volume training schedule is designed to accelerate skill development and ensure consistent progress across Classical Martial Arts, Action Performance, and Practical FX disciplines.
For Classical Arts, students are required to wear a traditional Japanese-style uniform appropriate to the discipline being studied. Bloused pants, jacket or vest with logo, sash, and indoor split-toe shoes. In addition, each student must acquire subject-specific practice weapons, which will vary based on the techniques being taught.
For Action Arts, students may wear sweatpants solid-colored t-shirts and practical footwear with no brand logos to maintain a professional, uniform appearance. Students must also bring a pad bag containing all necessary protective gear, including knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, back pads, and any specialized equipment needed.
For Cinematic Arts, students should wear comfortable, durable clothing suitable for hands-on, often messy work. Aprons are highly recommended to protect against paints, adhesives, silicone, and other materials used in fabrication and effects creation. Loose or flowing garments should be avoided around machinery and heated tools for safety.

There are a variety of Advanced Stunt skills that must be practiced in controlled environments outside the main training facility. These include high-intensity stunts such as car hits, high falls, body burns, motorcycle stunts, car crashes, ziplines, explosions, water-based stunts, and more. To ensure the highest level of instruction and safety, these workshops are led by industry veterans with extensive professional experience.

We host a wide range of Theatrical Firearms programs. Fundamental handling and safety courses are available to both actors and action performers, but we also hold more advanced workshops for our on-going members that cover, weapon retention, disarms, range training, team tactics, period weapons, and how to take bullet hits (squibs).

Dive into the thrilling world of Motion Capture through intensive workshops where students practice the arts of acting, fight choreography, stunts, and creature work, all tailored for film, television, and gaming. Each successive workshop serves as a gateway to new dimensions of motion capture, equipping performers with the skills and creativity needed to thrive in this cutting-edge industry.
